R&D: Development cost analyst
Job description
Do you enjoy working with numbers, analyzing costs and looking for ways to improve financial performance? Are you comfortable working in a project environment and communicating with international teams?
Join our R&D team as a Development Cost Analyst and become a key interface between Project Management, Controlling and R&D.
Track and analyze development costs throughout the entire product life cycle, from RFQ to SOP+6M
Compare planned, actual and forecast costs, including hours and budgets, and identify deviations
Work closely with internal departments to identify appropriate measures and solutions for cost deviations
Prepare cost and measure reports for internal stakeholders and LG on a global level
Ensure that all project costs are accurately and consistently reflected in the Project Cockpit
Analyze financial risks and opportunities within customer projects
Act as a central interface between Project Management, Controlling and R&D
Support the development and continuous improvement of internal reporting tools and processes in cooperation with Controlling and IT

Personality requirements
Must-have:
University degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Controlling or a related field
Solid knowledge of Controlling, ideally gained in a project environment
Experience with cost analysis and plan/actual/forecast methodologies
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
Advanced English skills – daily communication with international teams, especially colleagues in Korea
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Good communication and conflict resolution skills
Structured, independent and solution-oriented approach
Ability to clearly explain complex topics and work effectively as a team player
Nice-to-have:
Experience with SAP and SAP CATS
Previous experience in R&D, automotive or project controlling
Experience with reporting development or cooperation with IT and Controlling
